The Story Behind the Name “Wahoo Catering”

People ask us all the time, “Why Wahoo?”

The answer has nothing to do with business… and everything to do with family.

Years ago, our youngest daughter, Cora, was nonverbal. Like many parents in that situation, we celebrated every little milestone and held onto hope that one day we’d hear her voice.

Then one evening, while we were all sitting around the dinner table, something incredible happened.

Right in the middle of eating dinner, Cora suddenly shouted…

“Wahoo!”

It was the very first word she ever spoke.

We froze. Then we cried. Then we laughed. It was one of those moments that changes your heart forever.

Out of all the words in the world, her first word happened while she was enjoying a meal. Looking back now, it almost feels like life was giving us a little glimpse of what was to come.

When it came time to name our catering business, there was never really another option.

Wahoo Catering isn’t just a business name. It’s a reminder of hope, perseverance, miracles, and the joy found in life’s smallest moments. Every event we cater, every meal we serve, and every customer we meet carries a little piece of that story with it.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our family and our dream over the years. Every order means more than you’ll ever know, because behind the name is a little girl whose first word became the foundation of everything we’ve built.

When you combine two people that have a wide culinary background, as well as a background with hospitality and management - a dynamic duo emerges.

Danielle and Robert have over 37 years combined in the food and restaurant industry. They have managed several restaurants as well as worked in both the Front of the House and Back of the House, maintaining various restaurant positions during their many combined years. They did and still maintain the highest health standards and ensure that everything is done correctly.

They have an extensive background with cooking for individuals that need special diets, such as; Gluten Free, Peanut Free, and the Mediterranean Diet.

Wahoo Catering has a BRAND NEW LOCATION at The American Legion 308, located at 2305 Computer Avenue. Willow Grove, PA. 19090

Inspected Regularly by The Montgomery County Department of Health.

Wahoo Catering LLC used the fully licensed commercial kitchen located at The Warminster VFW Post 6493 for 3 years. We are Thankful to the Post for allowing us to grow our business.
